How We Met

Chapter 1: Our Love Story

TJ & I met on his 23rd birthday in 2013. My sister Margaret was out with her boyfriend and Tony celebrating his birthday when she text me and asked if I remembered Tony Hanlon from High School. I said "Yeah! He was cute, why?" That's when she told me he was up at the bar with them and that I should come hang out. After some convincing she got me to come up to Floyd's where I first "met him" (picture from that night below). I say "first met" because T and I actually shared a math class together in High School, where I first saw him and thought he was a cutie! Later that night after I left the bar T messaged me on Facebook which led to snap chat, texting and hanging out! We met on November 26th and were completely inseparable from then on. Just 2 weeks and 2 days later T asked me to be his girlfriend...in a text message!! Of course I said yes and the rest is history!

The Night That Started Forever

Chapter 2: The Proposal

It was December 11th 2018, just one day after our 5 year anniversary. I kept teasing TJ because he hadn't got me anything for our anniversary the day before. Usually every year I get a dozen roses and a very sweet card. T kept telling me "I have a present for you, my mom has it she's bringing it to town." Then he switched his story and said "I have your present it's here". Of course more nagging from me because I am one not to be surprised, he finally went and got the gift, which he had hidden his trunk. Keep in mind that I am clueless, I never in a million years thought he was about to pull out an engagement ring. We're standing in the doorway of our bedroom an he starts acting odd, he pulled out a little brown box, opened it and there was this massive diamond ring. He handed it to me and that was it, the man did not say a word. I looked at the ring in shock thinking how beautiful it was, looked at him praying he was about to ask and looked at the ring. After a few seconds of silence I handed him the ring and said "this is so beautiful, when you get me an engagement ring this is exactly what I want it to be, it's just so beautiful!" He finally said "that is your engagement ring" after a few minutes of shock and staring at each other he brought the ring over to me, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Finally the shock wore off and now I'm just hysterical repeating over and over again "You want to marry me? Are you sure?" (Insert laughing crying emoji here). Picture our little living room in our brand new home we bought together, the fire place on, Christmas tree lit up in the corner with our stockings hanging from the mantle, and the most handsome man FINALLY asking me to marry him, that is what the best night of my life thus far looks like.
