We're getting married!

It all started on a random Thursday night at church when Anthony asked Megan to get out of his way. He was nice about it of course, but Megan confidently said, “No.” And just like that, the cute new girl had his attention. That is, until he found out she was 19. “She’s too young for me,” he told his friends… while still very harmlessly flirting. During their “just friends” era, they texted all the time. Megan insisted she did not like him, but deep down she absolutely did. She just knew herself well enough to know that if she dated Anthony, it would be serious. And that kind of scared her. Anthony, on the other hand, patiently and very strategically played the long game. One night after a late church meeting, Anthony finally worked up the courage to ask her out. She had already left, so he called and asked her to meet him so he could do it properly. They pulled into a gas station parking lot. He asked. She said no. Not because she did not like him, but because she knew what it would mean if she said yes. They stopped talking for a while, and that is when Megan realized how much she actually missed him. So she reached back out. The texting picked up right where it left off. A few months later, Anthony tried again. This time, Megan was ready. She said yes. After a handful of dates full of laughter, they took a leap of faith and made it official. Megan had always known that if she dated Anthony, she would marry him. She fell in love with his heart for Jesus, his humor, the way he loves people, and how hard he works. And he fell in love because she was stubborn. But hey... it worked out, didn't it?
