At the time, Claire had been very active in the dating scene trying to find a connection. When she stumbled across Ryan’s profile on a dating site his photo was of him standing shirtless at a sand volleyball tournament with a big smile on his face. She of course, was interested in the musculey man. After a few message exchanges, Ryan asked Claire out on a date to meet in person. She quickly agreed, however, once the date became closer and closer she panicked and cancelled the date. She was nervous. After some much needed time away from dating life and ignoring messages from Ryan, she finally reached out and they scheduled another date. October 13, 2018 After some internal monologue and convincing from friends, Claire didn’t cancel! Claire parked her car outside of BelAir Tacos, took a couple deep breaths and had her phone ready to call a friend to bail her out in case he was a weirdo. When she walked in she was greeted by this gentle giant with a huge smile sitting at the bar. They laughed, drank some beers, shared some chips and salsa and six hours later they finally decided to call it a night. Ryan walked Claire back to her car, asked for her number, gave her a hug and kiss on the forehead. After a few months of countless date nights and hang out sessions, Claire new she had found “the one” when Ryan gave her a copy of his house key, and built her an arts & cratfs cart. He told her “I want you to be able to come and go as you please so that you can do the thing you love. You can use the spare room to paint, build and create whatever you want.” The rest was history. “I like you and I love you.” “I love you and I like you.”
