River Market - City Market
Visit the City Market in the River Market neighborhood on Saturday or Sunday from 8:00am to 3:00pm for a farmers market filled with local goods, produce, flowers, gifts, food, etc.
Berkley Riverfront
The first time we met, we took a walk here along the riverfront. This walking path will take you to the KC Current Stadium, the first stadium in the world built solely for a professional women's sports team. The walk from the start to the stadium and back is just under two miles.
Union Station Kansas City
Union Station is a historic Kansas City landmark with exhibits, restaurants, and an extensive model train gallery. This place is worth visiting for the architecture alone.
Crown Center
If you don't know, Hallmark was founded here in Kansas City. They built a 85-acre complex that was envisioned to be a "city inside a city" and named it Crown Center. Here you can shop, eat, and visit the Hallmark Visitor Center to learn about the history of Hallmark.
Kansas City Plaza
Just south of downtown, Kansas City's Country Club Plaza is one of the city's most historical spots. The Plaza is known for its Spanish-inspired architecture, cobblestone walkways, and beautiful fountains. The Plaza is the country's first outdoor shopping district accessible to cars. Here you can find great shopping and many restaurants.
Messenger Coffee Co.
Messenger is a three-story coffee shop featuring rooftop views of downtown. This is where we went on our first date. They make the best pastries. We recommend the kouign amann ("queen ah-mah".)

This is Kansas City's largest brewery with beers sold nationwide. Boulevard offers tours and tastings just minutes away from downtown.
Green Lady Lounge
An iconic Kansas City jazz club with live music every night. The lounge is dark and moody with amazing classic cocktails.
