Getting there: Taxis & Rideshare - This is our top recommendation! Chicago has many options for transport, Uber, Lyft, Grab and regular Taxi's are all in abundance, the venue is a short 10-15 min ride from downtown. Grab a ride from your hotel, home or AirBnB and get dropped off at the venue. Driving - there are 30 parking spots at on-site lot with security, along with free parking outside the venue on the street. Getting Home: Shuttle - We want to make sure everyone gets home safe! We will have a shuttle available running loops between the venue and the main hotels in West Loop and Downtown. First shuttle will be available around 9pm and run ~every 45 minutes. Last Shuttle: 1:00am Taxis & Rideshare - If you're local or staying at an AirBnB not near the host hotels please plan to grab an Uber/Lyft/Chariot whatever you want home. You can always hop the shuttle to one of the hotels and request from there.
FLYING Chicago has two large airports, both a great options: - Midway Airport: on the Southwest side of downtown ~ 20-25 min from downtown. This airport is mostly only Southwest Airlines flights. Getting downtown: grab a cab, Uber/Lyft or take the Orange Line from the airport to the Loop -O'Hare Airport: Yes the one's the McAllister's run through in Home Alone. In the Northwest suburbs ~35-45min from downtown. This is the larger airport with all major airlines. Getting downtown: Taxis, Lyft/Ubers all available or take the Blue Line getting off on Grand or Loop. Depending on traffic the car ride can be 1hr+ so we recommend checking the traffic before you decide as train can be faster. DRIVING We would suggest you see what the parking options are at your hotel. We also recommend checking out SpotHero for alternative cheap parking options. There are some parking spots on-site if you're driving to the venue.
Stay where ever you'd like to meet your travel, budget, space and convenience needs. If wanting to take the shuttle we recommend the West Loop, Loop or River North neighborhoods. See our travel page for many hotel blocks, recommendations and even a map of recommended areas for AirBnBs. If you have questions just reach out!
We love your little ones, but this party is for big kids only. Check out your invite and don't hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions or want to be connected with other parents to collaborate on childcare.
While the wedding will all be indoors remember this is Chicago in winter, we can't pretend to predict the weather but be prepared for cold and snow just in case. We will have a coat check available at the event if you want to set your parka aside.
The dinner for our wedding will all be station style vs. individual plates, we've got plenty of options for our vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free friends. Our caterer is a pro at accommodating, be sure to just ask one of their staff if you're unsure.
Doors to the venue will open at 6pm and the ceremony will start promptly at 6:30pm. Please plan to arrive on time so we can get the party started!
