Our Story

Although I remember seeing Hank for the first time at church camp before my sophomore year of high school, we didn't officially meet until that school year when he got moved into my pottery class. Ahh, pottery. Now I was never very interested in pottery, until this guy Hank Williamson was in my class. I looked forward to pottery class everyday and we became good friends that year. Fast forward to that next summer and we were both going to camp again. That week at camp was very pivotal in both of our lives. Individually, we both decided to prioritize God and our faith over everything. We surrendered our lives to whatever The Lord had for us. About two months after camp, we officially started dating on August 21st 2015. I didn't realize it then but I was in for the sweetest adventure. I'm constantly in awe of how consistently and patiently Hank has pursued me throughout our whole relationship- from all the way back in pottery class to the day he got down on one knee to propose. It has been so special to go through so many things together. From high school dances to Florida State football games and everything else in between, I can't believe we are just getting started. The Lord has been so faithful throughout our whole relationship and we have him to thank for the past 5 years, and for bringing us to this point. Our prayer is that our relationship, wedding day, and marriage will be a reflection of God's glory and love that has been displayed in our lives... we can't wait to celebrate with you! "The Lord is righteous in all His ways and kind in all His works." Psalm 145:17

The Proposal

Where do I even begin! I have loved Emma for many years now, and I've been wanting to marry her since before we started dating haha, but seriously. When thinking of how I would propose I had two goals in mind. Surprise her, and celebrate! Surprising Emma is no simple task, she is very witty and notices everything so to pull it off everyone who was involved had to go full CIA mode. Plans were made through the summer and finally June 22nd rolled around. As you could probably imagine, my stomach was in knots and I could hardly see straight (she says she didn't notice I was nervous, I don't believe her). For all she knew we were leaving the house to go on a little coffee, and lunch date at Oxford Exchange in Tampa. Once we were at Oxford Exchange we got some coffee, and were eventually seated at the restaurant. We got seated a little earlier than I would have wanted to because I had a photographer lined up to secretly take photos of us when the time came. Well he was not there yet, so I had to streeetch out our dinner so that he could get set up. During dinner I asked Emma if she would be willing to walk along the river at UT, which was right across the street. I was praying she would say yes because it was miserably hot outside. To my surprise she thought it was a fun idea! After dinner we walked across the street to the river. We walked around trying to find a good spot to "take a picture for my instagram" ahaha but really I was trying to find our photographer. Once I did see him, and found a good spot I asked her if she would marry me. SHE SAID YES!!!! To continue the surprises I told her that no one knew except for us, and she believed me!! Then we went back home to where our families, and many of our friends were and it caught her so off guard! I am beyond excited to be marrying my best friend. I have been praying for us to get married for a long time, the Lord is abundantly good for blessing me with such a wonderful bride to be. I hope to see you all there!!
