It all started with a million dollar question - "Is Hanna Factor fun?". Dan was nearing the end of his senior year at Rutgers in 2015 and approaching his Theta Chi fraternity formal in Atlantic City. Dan didn't have a date but was exchanging "likes" on Instagram with Hanna - so he took a shot and asked one of their mutual friends this question. The answer was clear & Dan texted Hanna to introduce himself & to ask her to formal. Hanna, also noticing these Instagram interactions, accepted without hesitation. Skip to formal - the two quickly connected with their similar senses of humor and hit it off. The rest is history, so they say!
It was a a gloomy April evening when Dan had made a dinner reservation at a "pop-up" restaurant his work colleague introduced him to. Hanna asked no further questions other than "When do I have to be ready by?" & "What should I wear?" - knowing that Dan always plans events to a T. They inconspicuously take the PATH into NYC - deflecting any idea of what actually was to come. They show up to an office building in Herald Square - again further drilling into the trendy "pop-up" feel - and take an elevator up to meet a nice "hostess" who walked them to their table. The "hostess" walks them to a door that appears to be to a rooftop. The door opens to "Marry You" by Bruno Mars playing and the rooftop decorated with big signs saying "MARRY ME?". April will always be a special month for Dan & Han because it was the month they met over 8 years ago - so it was natural that Dan wanted to ask the NEW million dollar question - "Will you be my wife?" Soon after the proposal - Hanna asked "So, is there no dinner?" The two walked to a nearby bar to grab a bite to celebrate when Hanna was surprised by their friends to celebrate their engagement! DAN DID GOOD, YALL!
