We're married!

I moved to Ohio in 2013, after dropping out of college. Desperate for connection, I used the dating site OKCupid to make friends, which felt like a futile endeavor. A few months later Ross got a text from a stranger. He humored the conversation, which quickly bloomed into a consistent back and forth. His number had been given to me from someone I'd only spoken to online at the time, a connection through an OKCupid friend. A few towns away, I was giddy with every text I got from the mysterious stranger. He was clearly smart, with a strong vocabulary and wicked sense of humor. I wanted to get to know him, so I wouldn't let the conversation end. A few weeks later, I picked up a goat's head from Jungle Jim's and met up with this stranger and his friend who had connected us. That night we boiled a goat's head to get the skull, and had a photoshoot of Ross. I finally got to meet the person I'd been texting in person, and he was charming! On January 18th, 2013 we made it "official" on Facebook, which cemented our dating anniversary. A year after meeting we get an apartment together, and adopted our first cat, Minnie. I enrolled at UC in 2015, and despite being terrified and feeling inadequate, Ross was the rock that kept me grounded. Ross began his career as we were dating and I got to see the entire journey. My father's passing, the birth of Ross's nephew, practicing exposure therapy, being in quarantine, buying my first car, getting my first teaching job.
