It all started with a swipe. Heather and Sean first crossed paths on Facebook Dating. Heather couldn’t resist swiping right on Sean after seeing a photo of him wakeboarding—one of her favorite water sports. Sean, on the other hand, swiped right because he saw a cute blonde who was clearly into outdoor adventures. What started as a simple swipe turned into something much more. Their first date was a casual one—a meet-up at PoPo’s Mexican food in search of margaritas. They ended up talking for three whole hours, realizing just how much they had in common. From there, it didn’t take long for them to start dating and diving into each other's hobbies and passions. Sean introduced Heather to the world of racing, and after some time, she bravely joined him at the track for her first race last year—though she’ll admit, she still needs to learn how to drive manual! On the flip side, Heather shared her love of wakesurfing with Sean, and though he gave it a shot in Havasu, he quickly realized he’s more of a "fair weather surfer" than a hardcore water sports enthusiast. When it came time to pop the question, Sean had a beautiful Thanksgiving proposal planned. But Heather, unfortunately, was sick and could barely make it through dinner. Always the problem solver, Sean had to quickly come up with Plan B. When they returned to Irvine for the holidays, he knew it was the perfect time to propose—and he did, in a low-key, intimate moment that was everything they dreamed of: simple, joyful, and just the two of them. The journey has been filled with adventure, laughter, and love. We can’t wait to see what comes next as we continue to explore life together.
