This venue is an adventure! Getting to the Top of the Notch includes a drive up a winding mountain road and then taking a serene 15 minute ride on the Sugar Pine Chair Lift up to an elevation of 7,800ft. While there is a shuttle option for those that are unable to ride the lift, it is EXTREMELY limited. We are encouraging all guests to embrace the fun and take the lift! Please note that rideshares will not be available in this area. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Alex or Austin as soon as you can. We want to ensure everyone is safe and comfortable. Please plan ahead, ask us questions, don't get too lit up if you're taking the lift down, and enjoy everything this beautiful mountain has to offer. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
Mt. Baldy Village is located just north of Claremont, off the 210 freeway, exit Base Line Rd. Drive an additional 20 minutes and you'll reach Mt. Baldy village! Keep driving up the mountain road and it'll dead end in the parking lot of the ski lift. A ski lift you say? All guests get to take the lift up from the parking lot to the lodge, Top of the Notch. If you need accommodations, please let us know as soon as possible. Unless there is a specific need, there is no other way to reach the top. We hope you enjoy the ride!
Lodging up at the mountain is a little tricky. Please see the "Travel & Lodging" page. In a nutshell, your options are AirBnB, pitching a tent at the top, finding a cabin in Mt. Baldy Village, or heading back down to Claremont to get a room in our hotel block.
Please account for the time it takes to ride the ski lift! We request that all guests arrive to the bottom of the lift by 4 PM. The ride is about 15 minutes so plan accordingly.
A shuttle will be provided to and from the DoubleTree in Claremont (555 West Foothill Boulevard, Claremont, CA 91711). Please indicate that you'll be using the shuttle when you RSVP.
Mountain cocktail Suits, dresses, dressy jumpsuits and shoes that you can get off a ski lift in. If you choose to wear heels, we highly recommend a block heel. Wear stilettos at your own risk. Beyond that, bring a layer as it'll cool off once the sun goes down. We'll be at 7,800 feet elevation!
We know your kids are amazing, but take the night off please!
