Where is the wedding taking place?

The ceremony and reception will both be held at Villa La Joya, a stunning private beachfront villa in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.

June 3, 2026 Please plan to arrive no later than June 2nd to ensure you're settled and ready for our big day.

Where should I stay?

Answer

We've reserved a block of rooms for our guests at special group rates at Paradisus Playa del Carmen (Family Friendly) and Paradisus La Perla (Adults Only). Please refer to the Airport & Stay tab for the booking link and more information.

How do I get to the resort from the airport?

Answer

It is recommended to set up transport prior to your arrival to Cancun International Airport. There are no Ubers allowed at the airport and taxis are often overpriced. You can use Meet Playa (https://www.meetplaya.com/booktransfer) or use our room block website (https://www.mangoweddings.travel/haneenjames) to set up transportation.

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

Transportation from Paradisus Playa Del Carmen to Villa La Joya will be arranged for the wedding day. Details to follow. *Guests not staying at the resort are kindly asked to notify James or Haneen, as outside vehicles are not permitted to enter the wedding venue*

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The entire celebration will be outdoors, by the beach and under the stars — dress accordingly and bring a wrap or light jacket just in case.

What should I wear?

Answer

Cocktail attire is requested. Lightweight fabrics and elegant evening wear are encouraged. Denim, shorts, and casual clothing are not permitted.

We kindly request no children (with the exception of children of the immediate family/wedding party).

Can I get a plus one?

Answer

We kindly ask that you refer to your invitation for guest details when they come out. If a plus one is included, it will appear when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding!
