Hotel
This is where the ceremony and reception will be. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND CALLING the resort to book your room. Our room link only shows a few options when it comes to room options. If you call directly they will give you more options with our discounted rate. 1(800)833-7711 . Our link for the room block is specifically for two nights, Aug. 31st and Sept 1st, so you will need to call the resort (discounted rate will still apply!) Saturday, Aug 30th is booking up FAST and rates are going up. The wedding coordinator suggested calling the reservation team directly for any other amount of nights at 1(800)833-7711. https://www.missionpoint.com/ Most importantly, this is the only dog friendly resort on the island as well so feel free to bring your four-legged friend! All dog-friendly guest rooms are located in the STRAITS LODGE, which is about a five-minute walk from check-in at the Main Lodge. Once again, we recommend CALLING the hotel, the most affordable option is a queen room at the main lodge. I've noticed this doesn't always display on our booking link. 1(800)833-7711 BOOK EARLY! The rates are subject to change. There are other more affordable options such as the Murray Hotel, Mainstreet Inn, or staying in Mackinac City. The link for our room block is below. One of the wonderful things about Mackinac Island is how easily everything is within walking distance! Whether you're staying at our resort or choosing another accommodation on the island, you’ll find that most attractions, restaurants, shops, and historic sites are just a short walk away from wherever you choose to stay. So, feel free to explore other accommodation options on the island or mainand that may better suit your preferences or budget. The island's compact size ensures you won't miss out on any of the fun, no matter where you stay! On Mackinac Island: Island Hotels & Inns: From charming historic inns to cozy hotels, Mackinac Island offers a variety of accommodations to suit different preferences. Bed & Breakfasts: For a more intimate and personal experience, consider booking a stay at one of the island’s welcoming bed and breakfasts. Mackinaw City & St. Ignace (Mainland): In addition to staying on Mackinac Island, you may also want to consider accommodations in nearby Mackinaw City or St. Ignace, both of which offer a variety of hotels, motels, and resorts. St. Ignace, located across the Straits in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, offers a peaceful, scenic escape and is just a short ferry ride or drive across the Mackinac Bridge. Important Note for Labor Day Weekend: Please be aware that the Mackinac Bridge will be temporarily closed on Labor Day for the annual Bridge Walk. It may cause temporary delays or detours if you’re traveling between the Upper Peninsula and Lower Michigan. If you plan to visit St. Ignace or Mackinaw City around that time, please make sure to plan your travel accordingly. Our ceremony is at 3pm ON LABOR DAY. Local Campgrounds: Several campgrounds are available in the northern part of the lower peninsula. Our favorite is Mill Creek Campground. These provide a great way to experience nature while being close to ferry access. Please feel free to reach out if you need help with recommendations for your stay.

We suggest the best way to arrive to the island is by ferry! We have made arrangements with Shepler's Ferry for transportation. Their dock is located in Mackinaw City. 556 E Central Ave, Mackinaw City, MI 49701 You can purchase tickets in advanced at www.sheplersferry.com Use promo code 25septwed for a discount. You can drive right up to the dock and let the team there know you are dropping off your luggage. Then park at an offsite and secured lot where they will shuttle you back to the ferry. Getting Around on Mackinac Island Mackinac Island is a car-free paradise, so getting around is part of the fun! Here are the main ways to explore: Horse-Drawn Carriages One of the most charming ways to travel around the island is by horse-drawn carriage. These are available for guided tours or short rides, giving you a relaxing way to enjoy the scenery. Bicycles You can rent bikes on the island, or feel free to bring your own! Mackinac Island has plenty of scenic bike paths, making cycling a great way to explore at your own pace. There are ferry tickets available for an added bike (make sure to bring a lock). Walking The island is small and perfect for walking. Whether you're strolling along Main Street or heading to beautiful spots like Arch Rock, it's easy to get around on foot. ADVICE: bring wipes or closed toes shoes for walking, horse manure is everywhere. Taxis Horse-drawn taxis are available if you need a quick ride to your destination. Just hop in, and they’ll take you where you need to go! Electric scooters and manual wheelchairs are available to rent at these three bike rental locations. It is recommended that you call ahead to reserve an electric scooter. You can also bring your own mobility scooter on the ferry, free of charge.
