FAQs

Question

What is the dress code for the event?

Answer

Please dress in cocktail attire.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please refer to your invite.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Our wedding is adults only. We are so excited to celebrate with all of our loved ones at the wedding shower, but the day of is strictly 18+.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be completely indoors, however the brewery hop will be outdoors, and will involve walking a few city blocks. We would highly recommend comfortable shoes, and winter attire, as the weather in Cincinnati can be unpredictable.

Question

What do I need to know about the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony is in a residential area, and we would recommend that you plan to arrive a minimum of 15 minutes before the start time of the ceremony. Five Mile Chapel does not have onsite bathrooms. We hope to keep the ceremony short and simple, as we know that not having a bathroom onsite isn't ideal. Parking is located in the open field next to the chapel, so please keep that in mind, and consider dropping up elderly guests at the door.

Question

Where should I go after the ceremony?

Answer

There are lots of places in Over the Rhine by Taft’s to choose from if you’re feeling snacky between the ceremony and reception. We recommend Gomez Salsa, The Eagle, Eli’s BBQ, Mikey’s Last Slice, Somerset, Homemaker’s Bar, Cobblestone OTR, Sundry and Vice, and Wodka Bar. You can also always head straight to Taft’s to enjoy a beer prior to the reception.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! Taft's Alehouse had a multitude of beers that are on tap, as well as wine and cocktails. The brewery/bar hop will not have provided beverages for guests.
