AJ and Anna met while working at Red Robin in Bothell, WA. He was a line cook and she was a to-go hostess. They spent their shifts working a window away while listening to AJ's music through his Bluetooth speaker. AJ and Anna connected instantly with each other's music taste. At the time, Anna was driving her first ever car, a Volvo S60 named Brutus. This car had a lot of issues resulting in Anna needing to jump the vehicle every time she needed to drive it. Before this became a regular occurrence, Anna had no jumper cables. Going back inside after her shift at Red Robin, Anna asked her coworkers if they could jump her car. AJ came outside to restart the vehicle and continued to do so every time she needed to leave. They quickly fell in love and the rest is history!

AJ and Anna got engaged on a beautiful sunny day in the heart of summer. AJ and Anna had known for the majority of their relationship that they would be married one day... it was only a matter of time. Little did Anna know that AJ had the ring for 5 months before proposing! AJ invited Anna out to a nice dinner at Lombardi's after she got off work. She rushed home to get ready knowing something was up. After a romantic dinner beside the fire (which they had to turn off because it was so hot!), AJ asked Anna if she could close her eyes. Hesitant at first, knowing it was such an unusual request, she did as he asked. "Okay, open them." Anna's eyes darted around the table and up to AJ's face and back to the table looking for what she knew would be an engagement ring. Sure enough, the stunning engagement ring was sitting right in front of her. AJ was met with an enthusiastic "yes!" and the couple celebrated with the most fantastic margaritas.
