Important Updates

To our Families and Friends, We are excited to announce that our wedding ceremony is back on for Sunday, May 29th, 2022! A lot has changed since our initial wedding date and we are doing all that we can to comply with local COVID safety guidelines as your health is our top priority. This includes adjusting food service and reducing our guestlist. That being said, please do not feel obligated to attend if you do not feel comfortable/safe. We completely understand and very much value your safety above all else. As the date is quickly approaching, we would really appreciate everyone's timely response. Please RSVP by April 9th, 2022. We can't wait to celebrate with those who is able to make it! Love, Han & Nghia

Han's Perspective

Just a Coffee who met her everything BEA-gel! ;) Nghia and I started talking in early April 2017. What started out as quick "fun-facts" texts back and forth turned into in-depth conversations about one another. At this point, I was instantly drawn to his easy and out-going personality, openness, and (unique) sense of humor.  We decided to meet up for dinner at Barrel and Bushel in Tysons. For those that know me, yes, I ran late...but he patiently waited and greeted me with the warmest smile - this was my very first glimpse of how amazingly patient and understanding Nghia is (and continues to be). We spent the night sharing our stories and were stunned to find many similarities in our values, dreams, and other key parts of our life. The first date led to more dinner dates, to hanging out with our closest of friends, to meeting both families (unintentionally and planned). As the days moved along with more memories shared, it was clear that this was a special connection that we both did not expect to grow as quickly as it did.  Everything with Nghia has been undoubtedly natural and effortless; which is what I always envisioned "love" to be, and now believing in. I truly believe God brought the two of us together at just the right time & place in our life because since meeting Nghia, I have only seen brighter days, felt warmer embraces, and experienced a stronger love than ever before.

How many cups of coffee do you need to have with your bagel? Just 1! Like our love story, it only took one initial date to know how special our relationship is. It all started one Friday morning in April 2017 when we connected through texts. One of my 1st questions to Han was, “why are you afraid of snakes?” From then on, I know to never have that word in my vocabulary…or at least around her. =D Our conversations continue throughout the day and onto the entire weekend. I didn’t expect to connect with someone so well, so quickly, especially through text. We learned so much about one another such as our love for traveling, similar family values, and how thoughtful/caring she is towards her family and friends. I knew that I had to ask her on a date. So finally, on Sunday evening I asked her out to dinner. Waiting anxiously and trying to remain cool, She replied said, “YESSS!!” Our 1st date was on a Monday evening at Barrell & Bushel in Tyson’s Corner. While sitting in front of the restaurant, I received a texted from her saying she is near and hope that I don’t mistaken another Asian girl with her. I laughed in my mind thinking ‘she’s too beautiful for me to mix her up with anyone else’. And I was right!! When I looked up, I noticed her instantly coming around the corner; her smile, her instant eye contact, and as if the sun shined only on her. I fell for her even more! Our 1st date turned into one of the most extraordinary and memorable dates of our story. I knew our conversations were going great, but what I didn’t expect was for us to spend over six hours talking until the security guard kicked us out of the mall as they were closing up for the night. This date was just the start of many amazing dates to come. I thanked God for having aligned our path in life and for me to meet my best friend with whom I will be calling my wife very soon.
