Madrid only has one airport, Madrid Barajas. From the airport, you can get to the city by Metro, bus or taxi. We recommend arriving by Monday 25th May to ensure you have time to explore and be ready for our welcome event on Tuesday 26th May before we all travel to Toledo after the welcome event!

Our wedding will be taking place in the beautiful historic city of Toledo which is 45 miles south of Madrid. We’ve arranged transport from Madrid to Toledo which will collect us from the welcome event and bring us straight to Toledo. This ensures everyone arrives together, with ease and stress-free, ready for a free evening in Toledo and rested for the wedding celebrations the next day! If you’d like to make use of this, the price is £10 pp and you can indicate if you would like this option when you RSVP!

Train

Train from Toledo to MadridTrain from Toledo to Madrid

As people will be leaving Toledo on different days to fly back from Madrid, we recommend getting a train from Toledo to Madrid Atocha. which takes 34 minutes. Booking is essential and the usual cost is around £13. You can do this through Trainline or directly on the Renfe website. Please let Hannah and Max know if you need any help with this!

Madrid- For the night before the Welcome Event As we’ll be starting the celebrations in Madrid, we recommend many of the fantastic hotels or AirBnb's in central Madrid to suit all budgets and staying centrally will make it easy to join us for the welcome event. Recommended Areas: Centro (Sol, Gran Vía) for easy access to shops, restaurants and nightlife Chueca or Malasaña for a more lively, bohemian vibe Salamanca if you're looking for something peaceful How to Book: Booking.com and AirBnb have good options!
