Our story

So this is written from my (Michael’s) perspective, sorry Hana.

I definitely didn’t think I’d one day be marrying the girl I’d see walking to class at Napa Valley College my first year. It wasn’t my own bravery that led me to eventually talk to Hana. Only by what I can call a divine intervention did our paths eventually cross. It was just a normal lunch to everyone else, but to me it was so much more - even if I didn’t realize it at the time. The seed that blossomed into what we have today was a wonderful friendship. You quickly became my confidante and most sincere friend. No matter what we were doing or where we were at, I was enamored by your company and friendship. Our three years of dating eventually began by me asking you to be my girlfriend at a Starbucks. I was so nervous I locked my keys in my car and had to call a tow truck. Even today, I can’t imagine those nervous, yet blissful, butterflies ever going away. Seeing you succeed and propel yourself as well as pick yourself up after a setback has been nothing shy of encouraging. I knew I wanted to marry you years ago. God had his perfect timing though. When it came time to propose, I could not have asked for a more perfect time in my life to do so. You’ve helped me grow as a person by pointing me to Christ and modeling patience and selflessness. I cannot wait for a lifetime with you. Thank you for saying “Yes.” Even though I managed to spoil the engagement by accidentally Snapchatting you my plans.
