The Marietta Square is the town center and is filled with good restaurants, an old-fashioned candy shop, and cute boutiques galore! One of our favorite brunch places is The Marietta Local of the edge of the square!

There are a lot of historically significant things to see around us! There is the Atlanta History Center that has 33 acres of houses, gardens, and exhibitions. You can find more info at https://www.atlantahistorycenter.com/ There are historic battlefields, graveyards, and numerous historic houses to see here. There's even a Gone With the Wind Museum!

This part of Georgia is full of natural beauty. There are numerous hiking trails and waterfalls to be seen here. There are too many to mention but here is a list of a few close to Atlanta: https://www.atlantatrails.com/atlanta-waterfalls-top-10-hikes/ We are also only a couple hours from the Blue Ridge Mountains and Southernmost point of the Appalachian Trail. If you're looking for somewhere a little more tame, Piedmont Park is a beautiful green space perfect for an afternoon picnic.

Did you know that The Walking Dead, Hunger Games, Stranger Things, Jumanji. Remember the Titans, Guardians of the Galaxy, Captain America, Black Panther and more were all filmed right here in the Atlanta area? There's even a Black Panther sequel being filmed here currently!
