Hana and John met through mutual friends at the mall in high school. Hana thought that John was hilarious because he would hide in a bush and scare his friends by making it talk. Naturally, Hana got his screen name from a friend. Twelve years later here they are (because they did not get married in Vegas at Taco Bell).

John proposed to Hana during a picnic on Governor's Island. It was super windy so John suggested they try a timer so they could get a good photo with the New York skyline. He successfully tricked Hana because she said if he ever wanted to use a timer she'd know he was going to propose. His trick worked so well in fact that initially she thought he was joking and going to just tie his shoe! He ended up not joking and asked Hana to marry him with Gar’s (her grandma's) heirloom stone. The picnic consisted of bagels with lox and Dr. Brown's diet black cherry soda. Plus peach soju to celebrate with.
