Andrew and I (Hana) have been amazed time and time again by the beautiful way the Lord answers prayer! We never sought out a relationship with each other, but God drew our hearts to each other in a wonderful friendship. Andrew first noticed me when I worked at the library at Lancaster Bible College. He observed that I always seemed to carry an apple with me everywhere I went. The first time we spoke with each other was at a Student Missions Fellowship club weekend retreat in November 2022. We talked at dinner, and I beat Andrew at a game we played :) After returning to Lancaster Bible College, we began to have conversations with each other that gradually increased in length and depth (often the location of our conversations happened to be at the library). Finally, I began to desire to know Andrew more after a conversation we had - not surprisingly - in the library about our love for the Lord and evangelism. I had never met someone who listened so patiently and loved the Lord so genuinely! My heart leapt for joy each time Andrew and I talked or spent time together. After several weeks of developing our friendship, we went on our first date and officially became boyfriend and girlfriend in February 2023. Andrew and I have loved serving the Lord together for almost 2 years through evangelism in Lancaster City, serving at the local church we attended, and encouraging the people around us and each other with the gospel. It didn't take us very long to realize that we couldn't imagine continuing life without the other. Andrew proposed to me at his favorite beach in the Eastern Shore of VA on March 30, 2024. (He successfully SHOCKED me in the most heart-melting way!) Our relationship is imperfect, and we have experienced many valleys; however, God has been faithful to teach us and comfort us in everything. We have no doubt that God will continue to lead us in the way we should go, even if He takes us far from the library at Lancaster Bible College :) Thank you for your support and prayers as we plan for our life together!
