Sarah and Cody met as many college students find themselves exploring other ways of meeting people, online. They matched on Tinder, and Cody was the one person Sarah felt comfortable actually reaching out to. Let's just say she made the first move, or leap, to meet this big smiley, sweet, Jewish boy. She gathered this all from some photos, a tinder bio, and texting for a week. Eventually Sarah met Cody and his roommate Nick at the time, and they all became instant friends. Sarah and Cody were friends a couple months before they shared their first "I love you" on 11.11.19. They had the privilege of going to college together, so lots of walks to class together and hanging out on Humboldt State's Campus. Cody was Sarah's rock for much of their initial relationship because of personal injuries, mental growth, and new beginnings, that Sarah had been experiencing. Cody was there, always for her, and she had never felt so seen, or cared for by any person before. That first "I love you" turned into thousands of them, to moving in together during a global pandemic, to getting a fur baby together, and to now, planning to spend the rest of their lives together. Cody and Sarah are best friends, first and always, they have a relationship that is 100% from both, and involves lots of laughs, communication, exploration, and constant support during this wild adventure we call life.
2.10.22 The day that Cody completely surprised Sarah by proposing, in what better way, than with their precious fur baby, Hopper. Cody had perfectly timed a nail clipping session for Hopper; Sarah grabs Hopper and notices this loud heavy name tag. Cody asks Sarah, "Did you read it?" And Sarah so focused on getting Hoppers paws ready for nail clipping, realized, wait, this says "I love you," She thinks to herself, aww that's sweet, Hopper is our special boy, we do love him. Until she turns the tag around and there are those 4 words you never forget, "will you marry me?" Cody was down on his knee as Sarah was reading and completely awestruck. She said "YES" without question and through tears in her eyes, sees her beautiful diamond ring from her soulmate, bestfriend, forever love of her life, and soon-to-be husband.
