We met at a brewery, both there with friends, not knowing how special of a night it would be. My friend (and now bridesmaid, Rachel) and Nate played ping pong together, and for winning she jokingly said his prize was to buy me a drink. We ended up playing corn hole together - and the rest is history! One of the first things that drew me to Nate was his love for the outdoors and adventure. Two months after we met, Nate convinced me to spend a weekend in Ohio camping and white water rafting with friends. Navigating waters in a raft forced us to quickly learn each other's strengths -and weaknesses- but we made it through! (mostly thanks to Nate) Six months into our relationship the global pandemic began. I work in the hospital as a nurse, and frequently took care of Covid patients, but it never stopped Nate from wanting to spend time together. During quarantine our date nights turned into home cooked meals and movie marathons. Since the pandemic, we have been lucky enough to travel around the world - Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Martha’s Vineyard, Outer Banks, Colorado, Florida, the Poconos, and of course the Finger Lakes! Our most fond memories are spending weekends on the lake with our friends, so we couldn’t have picked a better spot to celebrate the next chapter in our lives!
