TEMPTATION RESTAURANT: Known to the locals simply as “The Temp,” the bar portion serves up the best selection of Bourbon on the island. It is the oldest restaurant on the island and is equally authentic as it is cool. Here you will find both delicious food and excellent service. The fish could not get any fresher! Closed on Sundays. PINK ELEPHANT: Known as “The Pink,” this is a great option for a casual lunch downstairs, or a nice dinner in their upstairs dining room. Walk-ins only for the downstairs portion of the restaurant, however, the upstairs does accept reservations. SCARPA’S COASTAL: A great option for Italian food and great wine. Located in the old “Theater Building” in the historic village, Scarpa’s Coastal serves Italian classics with an emphasis on fresh pastas and locally caught seafood. MIMI’S 3RD STREET GRILLE: South Beach Grille's chef and amazing food is back at Mimi’s! Open for lunch and dinner. We highly recommend the Tuna Nachos.
The Gasparilla Inn Beach Club features many resort-style amenities including various pools and access to the sparkling white sand beachfront. A spacious, glass enclosed dining room for lunch and late afternoon food and beverage service is also available to resort guests. The Gasparilla Inn Spa, The James Griffith Salon, Lap Pool, and a fully equipped Fitness Center and Exercise Studio are also part of the resort’s expansive Beach Club complex. Daily hours of operation at the Beach Club are from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Banyan street is one of the most picturesque spots on the island, with old banyan trees forming a canopy to shade and protect the residents of this street. A short 5-10 minute walk from most points in town, this is a must see (and photograph) stop during your visit.
