Market on Front
Market on Front is the best spot for breakfast: grab a breakfast burrito and coffee and go explore! It is right between the hotels and river, so an it's easy walk (especially if you order online and pick up on your way to exploring).
The Notorious P.I.G. BBQ
The best BBQ. Period. This is a fantastic lunch spot, but be sure to get there early because once they're out, they're out!
M-80 Chicken
Hands down the best fried chicken you'll eat. Period. They've got great chicken sandwiches and tenders with rotating weekly specials.
Tagliare Delicatessen
The BEST sandwich you'll eat in a long time. Pro tip: call ahead to order for pick up!
Cranky Sam Public House
A great brewery right downtown!
Montgomery Distillery
Super cozy atmosphere with rotating speciality cocktails from spirits made in house! One of our favorite spots to grab a drink downtown especially if we are waiting for a reservation downtown.
Gild
Great beer and small bites! Good atmosphere right on the Hip Strip.
Tamarack Brewing Co
Good beer and great bar food! We challenge you to take on the Keg Nachos (yes, the entire order, that's the whole point)... we've yet to conquer the keg.
Zoo Thai
The best Thai food in Missoula! They do not take reservations for groups less than six, but you can get your name on the list if you stop in and ask for a table, then they just text you when it's ready. Less than a one minute walk from the hotels (on the same block). Great cocktails, too!
Ciao Mambo
Delicious Italian comfort food just across the river from downtown. They do not take reservations, so get on the list and go a couple doors down to Gild for a drink while you wait!
The Depot
Classic old-Missoula steak house. They have multiple dining areas that range from super casual to a little more formal. We highly recommend the blackened prime rib sandwich and creme brûlée for dessert!
The "M" Hike
You'll be able to see the "M" from your hotel, no matter which one you choose! The "M" sits only about a third of the way up Mount Sentinel, so it's only a 3/4 hike from the base to the "M." Be warned, it is steep with 13 switchbacks in a short distance. If you're feeling froggy, continue all the way up to the top of Sentinel.
