With each heartfelt goodbye and every joyful reunion, they discovered that their love was resilient—a steady force that overcame every obstacle life presented, guiding them toward a united future. In the crisp embrace of October 2019, Hamid moved to Rochester, MN to be closer with Amanda. Their hearts brimmed with joy as their once-separated worlds merged into one. Then, when the world was gripped by the trials of the Covid-19 pandemic, as schools, businesses, and even familiar roads fell silent, their love became an anchor amidst the storm. In the close quarters of shared living, their bond deepened, nurturing a strength and tenderness found only in those who weather life’s fiercest challenges together. As time unfolded its many seasons, Hamid began planning a moment that would honor the journey of their love. Inspired by every mile traveled and every whispered promise, he came to know without doubt that Amanda was his forever. In June 2024, under a vast, clear sky at Jay-Cook State Park, after an all-day hike that left them both weary yet exhilarated, nature provided a breathtaking backdrop as the sun painted golden hues across the horizon. In that luminous moment, Hamid knelt and presented a ring of their own design—a masterpiece crafted over four years. Its brilliant oval center stone, chosen early in their romance, symbolized not only their steadfast commitment but also the way distance had melted away into intimacy and unity. Overwhelmed with joy and emotion, Amanda said yes. They embraced amid the stretching light, tears sparkling like dew as the horizon stretched before them—a promise of infinite tomorrows. Shortly thereafter, during an enchanting engagement trip to Duluth, they shared their joyful news with Amanda’s children.
