We are college sweethearts! We first met at a murder mystery party at William & Mary on November 1, 2019. At the time, Kelsey’s best friend and Jake’s best friend were dating and they introduced us. We hit it off right away and officially started dating on December 15, 2019. Just a few months later, COVID hit and we were technically long distance while navigating classes online and lots of FaceTime calls. After graduation, we spent another two years long distance while Jake pursued his master’s degree in California and Kelsey started a corporate job back home in Virginia. We swapped visits every couple of months, and it’s true what they say: distance really does make the heart grow fonder. In June 2024 we finally ended the long-distance chapter and moved into our first apartment together in Boulder, Colorado. Kelsey now works remotely and Jake is pursuing his PhD at CU Boulder. We feel incredibly spoiled to be able to spend so much time together now. A year later, on July 12, 2025, we got engaged! We cannot wait to kick off forever surrounded by our favorite people.
