Miri first spotted Halsey in 2012 during freshman orientation at WPI while he was sitting under a tree playing guitar. She walked up and introduced herself, and they have been best friends ever since. For the first 7 years of their friendship, they both would have sworn they would never date each other. But over time, as they grew and matured, things changed 😉 In 2019, Miri moved back to Massachusetts and they decided to really give it a chance. Through the pandemic, moving in together, scuba diving, hiking, going to festivals, and skydiving, they started to build a life they both love, filled with the best family and friends they could imagine ♥️ Then, on a magical trip to Iceland in August 2024, Halsey proposed to Miri while hunting for mushrooms in the rain with their best friends along a fjord in the north of the country. Miri walked out onto a peninsula and stood there watching the ocean and feeling the wind on her face. When she turned around, Halsey was there, down on one knee. Of course she said yes, and right after that the sun broke through the clouds for the first time in days. When they turned around to look back at the water, there was a full rainbow right behind them! They walked back to the cabin to celebrate and found more mushrooms than any of them had ever seen. And a few hours later, once the news reached the other side of the island, the volcano started erupting! How Halsey coordinated with the sun, the rainbow, the mushrooms and a volcano, we'll never know 😂 Now, on Sunday 5/25/25, Halsey will get Miri'ed, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you all!
