When should I RSVP by?

Please arrive at 4:00 pm to ensure plenty of time to get settled before the ceremony begins.

The only people invited are the people listed on your invitation. Please ask if we missed your +1 :)

The only people invited are the people listed on your invitation :) While we adore your little ones, our wedding will be a grown up affair.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

We have a room block reserved at Hotel Fort Des Moines. See "Travel" for more details.

Of course! Please list it on your RSVP and we will be sure to accommodate.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Yes, we have reserved the lot at the church right next door!

Can I smoke at the facility?

Answer

Pursuant to the Iowa Smoke-Free Air Act, the Rollins Mansion has adopted the policy that smoking is prohibited both inside and outside its facility.

Can I concealed carry at the wedding?

Answer

Rollins Mansion prohibits and bans concealed weapons and firearms on the premises.

What time is the reception scheduled to end?

Answer

Our final exit will be at 10:45pm. Please feel free to join us at the bars downtown after the reception has concluded!

Can I take pictures during the ceremony/post on social media?

Answer

We ask that you are fully present during the ceremony and that there are no phones in our professional photography shots. We would like to be the first ones to post pictures of us at the wedding, but feel free to post pictures of yourselves having fun!

What should I wear?

Answer

Wear whatever you feel comfortable in that is an elevated version of you! Rollins is covered in beautiful gardens, so to keep with that theme we suggest wearing sundresses, bright colors, floral prints, and suits in lighter hues.
