Just when I was about to give up on dating and putting myself out there, I agreed to try one last time and meet a guy. Little did we both know that this would be the last first date (and kiss!) that we had. The Pour House in Westmont is where it all began. Neither of us expected all the adventures and what the year would bring but, we can both agree that we wouldn't have it or want it any other way. Although our love story isn't as long as others might be, our love is stronger then anything.

Well sometimes things don't go in order and we had a BIG surprise come before the BIG question. After a rough few weeks of craziness from being pregnant, we finally found time to celebrate the new adventure we were about to embark on. Thursdays aren't a typical date night, but with the gender reveal planned for that Saturday, it only seemed right to celebrate on a Thursday. Tom decided to take the lead on this one and I wasn't going to argue. I have always said how it would be nice to not have to plan everything. So naturally, I was excited and not suspicious at all to think that this was going to be the night we got engaged. Tom also knows I love things with a view. I don't know how but even when I found out where we were going, The Mosholu, I still had NO IDEA. We got there early, which is not a thing when Tom is involved (I am telling him the wedding starts at 3pm shhhhh), and so he wanted to go "walk the ship" since I couldnt enjoy a drink at the bar with him. I said "Okkkkk, lead the way" and followed him up and down and around to areas I was not sure we were allowed. We ended up on the top deck at the front of the ship. The view was gorgeous despite the cold air and wind. We took everything in for a few moments- expressed our excitment that soon we were going to find out whether we were having little boys or girls which made it all more real that we were going to be parents! The Spirit of Philadelphia is located next to The Mosholu and was getting ready to depart. The smells from the Boat starting up combined with the cold, windy air and my pregnant self were just not the best combo (looking back I feel bad for complaining, sorry!) It was then that he said "Well, I wont make you wait any longer" and as I turned around he was down on one knee. Everything was a blur but I was so OVER THE MOON excited and my answer was clearly YES. We then went to enjoy one of the best dinners and celebrate even more then originally planned. #BESTDAYEVER
