Andrew and Sam met in the fall of 2019, when Andrew asked Sam to a Hampden Sydney fraternity date party and Sam thought why not! They have been by each other’s side ever since. Andrew knew from their official first date at Fishin’ Pig in Farmville, VA that he was going to marry Sam. Even when Sam first said no when Andrew asked her to be his girlfriend. A few months into their final college semester in 2020, Sam asked Andrew if he was ever going to ask her again to be his girlfriend. He of course said no and Sam said we are dating now! Through COVID ending Andrews baseball career and Sam starting as a nurse in the height of the pandemic, Sam and Andrew were uncertain of the future and knew they were going to be together through it all. Sam moved to Virginia Beach with Andrew and with her came their beloved baby Sampson. After years of travel, concerts, softball games, acquiring Sampson’s best friend Poppy, and many questions of when the time would come. Andrew knew he wanted to pop the question during their upcoming trip to Cancun. While he already asked Sam’s parents for her hand in marriage, he got to work with his parents and Grannie planning Sam’s trip of a lifetime. With a staged family photoshoot, Andrew got down on one knee! Sam and Andrew have supported each other through the last 5 years and cannot wait to celebrate the continuation of their journey through life. They are so excited to share this special day with their biggest outside supporters, their cherished friends and family!
