FAQs

Question

By when should I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP by April 10, 2022. We hope you will be joining us, but if you are certain that you will not be able to attend we would appreciate an early notice.

Question

Who is included in my invitation?

Answer

The invitations will be addressed to the invited guests. Please let us know if you need any clarification regarding +1s or family members.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

The wedding ceremony and reception will be adults only. However, there's an abundance of family-friendly activities in the Monterey/Carmel region if you'd like your children to join for the weekend!

Question

How should we plan around COVID-19?

Answer

As we've all witnessed, this is an ever-evolving situation and we plan to adhere to CDC advice and follow any state/local requirements. We will keep guests informed if any aspects of the wedding weekend need to be modified. To ensure the comfort and safety of everyone in attendance, we insist that all guests be up-to-date on their COVID-19 vaccine (including boosters) prior to the wedding weekend. We strongly encourage guests to take a rapid test prior to the weekend as well. We will have extra tests on-hand for the weekend.

Question

Is there parking at the wedding venue?

Answer

Yes! There is a parking lot at Folktale Winery that can accommodate all guests. Guests are also more than welcome to leave cars overnight and collect them the next day. Ubers/Lyfts are available throughout Carmel and Monterey. Shuttles will also be running to/from The Portola Hotel for the wedding.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4pm. We ask that guests arrive by 3:45 (there will be a "bubbles bar" for your enjoyment upon arrival!). Please allow additional travel time, as afternoon traffic is expected over the holiday weekend.

Question

What weather should I expect in Monterey/Carmel?

Answer

You can expect daytime temperatures in the 60s-70s by the coast and evening temperatures in the low 50s. Inland temperatures, where the wedding ceremony and reception will be, are typically a little warmer. We suggest bringing a jacket or wrap for the evening.
