Like any romantic love story, their story began online. Bumble to be exact. Thomas had just moved to Boise to attend Boise State and they matched on the app that same week. After chatting online, they met up for their first date on August 28, 2021, at Boise Brewing. A few hours, and a couple of beers later, they both left knowing they wanted to see each other again. After a Boise Hawks game, Hallie decided to invite Thomas to a Michael Franti concert she had an extra ticket too. They danced the night away, and the good vibes, love, and powerful messages of Michael Franti sealed the deal.

Thomas was thrown into the fire of Hallie’s large, crazy, family. That same year he spent Thanksgiving and Christmas with her family, and basically became an instant uncle with the birth of Hallie’s first nephew, Carter. Hallie was welcomed with open arms into Thomas’ family and she got to learn more about life on the ranch in Hollister, California. She even got to drive his dad’s new tractor! The first year of dating threw a lot of challenges their way. Surgeries, deaths, apartment fires, and emergency room visits to name a few. Through each challenge they were there for each other every step of the way. Thomas continued his schooling while Hallie helped in any way she could! Beyond life’s challenges, their time spent together has been filled with adventures, laughter, and love surrounded by family and friends. Hallie and Thomas moved in together in the summer of 2023, and Thomas officially became a dog dad to Hallie’s Pomeranian, Rocky. Thomas graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Construction Management in December of 2024. He then proposed on Samara Beach while on vacation with her family in Costa Rica, and of course she said yes! They cannot wait to begin this new chapter of their lives as husband and wife, and create memories to last a lifetime.
