Have you reserved hotel blocks?

Answer

Yes! We have reserved a block of rooms at Wingate by Wyndham in Short Pump. The cost of a room with two queen beds is $140/night, and the cost of a room with one king size bed is $130/night. Reservations must be received by April 17th in order to receive the group rate. Unfortunately, Wingate by Wyndham in Short Pump is about 35 minutes from the venue. For this reason, we do encourage guests to use Airbnb or VRBO for the weekend's lodging to be closer to the venue and other weekend events. Click the "Travel" section for more hints on accommodations.

Do I have to mail back an RSVP or can I RSVP online?

Answer

No need to mail anything! All you have to do is click on the "RSVP" section of this website and RSVP for each event of the weekend.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Festive attire, please! We ask that men sport a suit, jazzed up with a bright tie or creative pocket square and women wear a cocktail dress or party dress in a fun color paired with playful accessories and heels or dressy flats. Dress your best, but be prepared to dance!

Where is the ceremony?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will take place at Avonlea Farms. The reception space is a short walk from the ceremony location, however there will be golf carts available to transport any guest between locations.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Lord willing, the sun will be shining and we can enjoy the outdoor ceremony. In the event of rain, the ceremony will be moved to a covered deck. The reception is inside a greenhouse. May in Virginia is gorgeous with an average high of 79 degrees and an average low of 56 degrees. Ladies are encouraged to bring a sweater for cooler weather as the sun goes down.

There is well marked parking on site.

What time should we arrive?

Answer

Please plan to arrive with time to find a seat for a 5 PM ceremony.

Can I take pictures or videos during the ceremony?

Answer

This one is important to us! We kindly ask our guests to refrain from using their phones in any capacity during the ceremony. We will have a photographer and videographer documenting the entire event, and we will be sure to share their work with all of our guests as soon as possible.

Can I post pictures and videos on social media?

Answer

Of course! Tag us using #kyleandhaleyforever so we can enjoy them as well!

What happens between ceremony and reception?

Answer

While family and wedding party photos are taken, guests can enjoy a cocktail hour with drinks and hors d'oeuvres.

What food will be served? What if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

Dinner is provided by our favorite BBQ spot in Richmond, The Smoky Mug! We understand we have several vegetarians in our guest count, so our caterer will include vegetarian options including vegan brisket.

What time does the reception end?

Answer

Unfortunately, the party must end at 11 PM for clean up!
