Garrett and I met while attending college at UND. We met for the first time a few weeks into school and I don't think I will ever forget how adamant Garrett was about taking me on a sushi date. We went on our first date in early November and said "I love you" for the first time a couple months later. When you know, you know! Fast forward six years and we are planning the wedding of our dreams. I am forever thankful for two of my best friends, Madi & Jordyn, for bringing this amazing man into my life.

It was my 23rd birthday and felt like a normal lake day. We spent most of the day on the boat with some friends enjoying the beautiful weather at Barry's sandbar. I was looking forward to our dinner at Spanky's that night because they have THE BEST walleye and cream brûlée. Little did I know, Spanky's was going to be known for something a little more important than their delicious food. Garrett had coordinated the most beautiful proposal with all of our family and friends there to celebrate with us. To say that night was magical would be a complete understatement. To this day, it was the best day of our lives.
