If you enjoy pinball like we do, you have to check out this place.
The road house is cool, but this one is hidden out in the country. Chris and his dad have been coming to this location for years. It's a beautiful wooden, A-frame building with a giant, wooden mushroom on the front. The inside is cozy, with a sort of log cabin feel, a shaded and intimate patio, cute nooks and a big fireplace.
Our favorite marijuana dispensary. They have the best prices in Portland.
The biggest, coolest game shop in Portland. Near Montage and the industrial district we love so much.
Excellent restaurant in the industrial district. It's where we went to celebrate our engagement.
This is a little far from the wedding, but it's Betty's very favorite book store in Portland.
Hands down the BEST bar in Portland for craft cocktails. The whole street is lined with cool stuff to do day or night. Moloko makes incredible cocktails, Mississippi Pizza is absolutely delicious and The Meadow has an assortment of fancy bitters, salts and chocolate. The sushi place down there is also really good. Bridge City Comics is one of the best comic shops in Portland. There's also a food cart pod, tons of shops, brunch spots, a street art covered brick wall and lots of other gems to be discovered. It's one of our favorite streets to hang out on.
Excellent cocktails, coffee, tea and great food. In addition to relaxed indoor seating, there's also rooftop and fireside seating. Great to go with friends, on a date or with the family. Just an overall great spot! The street has several other bars, shops, restaurants and more.
Awesome vintage game arcade. It's in downtown Portland so parking is a pain and it does get really crowded. The games are great though! 21+ after 8pm on weekends (double check on their website). They have beer, snacks and vegan options.
Our favorite food cart, which is located in Cartlandia (a food cart pod). If you go down a little further you will find all kinds of cool shops to wander in and out of- a Powell's book, Portland Cider Company, Presents of Mind, Ben & Jerry's, Exiled Records and more!
Betty's favorite local hike. It's a short, easy hike to some really cool ruins. There's lots more trail after the ruin if you want to keep going. The parking lot is also across the street from the Audubon Society, which is pretty cool to check out.
Betty's favorite secondhand/oddities store.
