They knew each other through mutual friends for years, but it was this night, in particular, that she spotted him from across the room at a friend’s wedding. He was looking handsome in his suit and she said “I need to talk to him”. After three miserable attempts to get his attention, she decided to “happen” to be hanging with his friends more often (thanks Cranfills!). Once she got his attention, though, he pursued.
He drove her to Target to get ice cream and sang all his favorite songs. She was slightly shocked, but mostly filled with heart sparkles. Are you surprised?
She knew she was falling in love, and fast. She knew well before she ever said it and even longer before he admitted it, too. But she knew. She thought he could really be the one. They had a conversation. “If we do this, we have to be all in”. They agreed.
He knew since December that he would get down on one knee, perhaps long before that. But he had to make the perfect plan. That included rounding up the families and getting everyone to convince her that they were going out to the Botanical Gardens to have a beautiful day and take some pictures. It was not long before she turned around and he was on one knee saying, “yes this is real...will you marry me?”
