Flashback to 2012. While walking home on Bruin Walk from UCLA campus, she noticed a very focused, getting pumped with his beats headphones on, guy heading to the gym. They had briefly met before, but at this moment she noticed just how handsome he was. Later in the week, Harwind and Halle connected while at a gathering with friends where he took his own liking to her too… (Precursor, the first time Harwind met Halle he really liked her, but he thought he blew his opportunity…because Harwind was being Harwind.) Flash forward to October 2022. While on a flight headed to Los Angeles, Harwind smoothly suggested he and Halle revisit UCLA as it was years since they both had seen campus. She agreed, knowing they had time to kill before going to their next destination, and didn’t think anything of this. With two almost over the flying limit in weight bags, they lugged their way up Bruin walk to the top of the hill. The two of them were at the top long enough to recover from the trek, but Halle noticed Harwind was squirmy and still sweating… She asked what’s wrong as he was getting something from his backpack. She said YES, there, on Bruin Walk years later, where it all started…
