We love Trillium and stayed here in 2016. *Note - It is very small and some of the rooms use a shared bathroom. The people who run this tiny inn and restaurant are some of the nicest around.

We stayed here on our first getaway together in 2014. The location is beautiful, as it is right on the coast, but be aware that this is the oldest hotel in Mendocino...not a lot of bells and whistles.

Van Damme State Park Campground

We camped here in 2021 and loved it! The park is located three miles south of the town of Mendocino on Highway 1. All reservations are made through reservecalifornia.com or by calling 1-800-444-7275. Van Damme State Park offers a scenic beach, a lush fern-filled forest, and year-round camping. There are flushing toilets, running water sinks, and (quarter paid) showers too!
