During a fun “staycation” with my girlfriends (Haley and Nicole!) in Baltimore, our weekend took an unexpected turn that would change my life forever. After brunch, we invited my cousin Jacob to join in on the festivities—and he brought along a couple of friends, including Johnny. From the moment Johnny and I met, we instantly clicked, bonding over our shared love of sports, music, and breweries. What started as a chance introduction quickly grew into something so much more, and from that very first night, we’ve been inseparable.

My mom was visiting Tampa during her spring break, which happened to fall on the same weekend as my 29th birthday. On Saturday, I thought we were simply heading to the St. Petersburg Pier with my mom, Johnny, and a group of friends to grab a couple of drinks before the Rowdies soccer game. As we walked along the pier, Johnny suggested we stop to take a few photos by the water. The next thing I knew, he was down on one knee asking me to marry him! To make the moment even more special, Johnny had secretly flown his parents into town and gathered our friends to celebrate. We spent the rest of the day surrounded by so much love and joy in downtown St. Petersburg—it was truly unforgettable!
