We're So Excited to Celebrate With you!

I thought we were going to dinner to celebrate Levi's big 40th birthday, and then go to Meta, where I was throwing him a big surprise birthday party! But, after we ate we went out to take in the views of Churchill Downs and Downtown Louisville, even though I was rushing him to leave because of the party. Then he dropped down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Of course I said yes! Followed by, "I can't believe you asked me on your 40th birthday!" to which he replied, "It's the best present I could ever get." Little did he know that he had a whole other surprise waiting for him. We got to Meta and all of our friends and family were there. So Levi's big surprise party kinda turned into an engagement party. To end the night, Levi took a play out of my dads book. When Levi asked my dad for permission, my dad told him the story about how when he proposed to my mom, he had his parents go and drop off flowers at their house so that way when they got home she would have one more surprise waiting for her. Levi did the same for me. I walked in and saw this huge bouquet of flowers. It was the perfect ending to the perfect day.
