His. I was a missionary where her brother was a freshman. She stalked my team's site and reached out to me--out of everyone else--to invite her brother to Bible study. Hers. I was a missionary, looking out for my brother who was a freshman at CU. Like any good sister would do, I reached out to a missionary to befriend him. I chose Tanner very randomly. He wasn't even that cute in the picture. She visited her brother the next semester and--of course--reached out to me to eat with them. I walked away from that dinner thanking God for creating such a woman. My sister and I visited Colorado, and we thought it would be nice to meet Tanner since he'd become friends with our brother. Tanner was a dingus and made me laugh a ton. I left dinner very smiley. I gave a talk in Michigan at the beginning of the summer. I told Alli and her brother that I'd be in their neck of the woods so we ought to get together. They were giddy about that idea. So I went and visited, and it was very nice. Very very nice. I went to bed on night #1 thinking Alli was special. I went to bed on night #2 thinking, "Crap, do I like Alli?" I went to bed on night #3 thinking, "Dang it. I really like Alli." Tanner reached out to Grub (my bro) and me, asking if he could come hangout with us since Michigan is so "close." I love when people have no idea where Minnesota is. But Tanner was so much fun. He jumped right into my family. I remember after the first night talking to my mom and being like "Shizzz! I think I like this guy! What the heck!" I knew that weekend Jesus was nudging me, telling me to trust Him. We FaceTime dated for a while, and I fell hard for her. I saw so much of God's goodness in her. More than I had ever seen in anything. She absolutely radiated it. Tanner freakin won my heart. He pursued me so intentionally and beautifully. I felt known and seen by him. Knowing Alli has helped me know Jesus. It's wild what love is capable of. My heart. Tanner is a gift. PTL!
