We met while we were students at Harvard. Duncan was in his junior year, studying Applied Mathematics; Halie was in her sophomore year, studying English. After exchanging a few texts and realizing we had mutual friends, we went on our first date at Harvard Square's Border Café. After three hours of margaritas, guac, and good conversation, we couldn't wait for the next date—and eventually, our whole lives together.
On a December afternoon, we took a trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art–one of our favorite spots in NYC. When we arrived at the museum's Christmas tree, Duncan got down on one knee in front of 50+ tourists and a very shocked Halie to propose. Two dear friends, Cailin and Megan, followed us through the museum to take pictures of the big surprise.
