We're Getting Married!!

October 30, 2018 Halie was working as the Fire Operations Manager for ServiceMaster, and called on Carter Electric for a temp power set up at a house fire job. Usually this is done from the exterior of the home and no one has to let the electrician in the home. This job site was unique and required entry which means Halie had to go let the Electrician in the home. The tall and handsome electrician that Halie saw when she pulled up said his name was Cody. The two chatted the usual small talk while Halie let him into the house. She gave Cody her business card so he could call when he finished up. After Cody called to say he had finished he pocket dialed and followed it up with a text: sorry for the pocket dial. That opened up the small talk again that included ;) emojis and an invite to a coffee date from Cody. (Cody to this day says that it was a true pocket dial and not an excuse... I guess everything happens for a reason) That coffee date lasted 4 hours and time felt like it flew by and neither of them wanted it to end!! Halie even had friends start to worry because they hadn't heard from her and were going to do a drive by to make sure Halie was still there and safe, since Cody was a stranger. haha

March 11, 2021 After much harassment from Halie, family and friends... Cody finally asked the question. At first it just started out as an evening hike at Chamise Peak, but after good conversation and jogging intervals we reached the top of the peak. As Halie was taking in the beautiful views and taking pictures to soak it all in...Cody was building up the courage to share some thoughts he had on his mind. After Cody shared some sweet words and feelings he shocked Halie by dropping to one knee and asking Halie to marry him!! Cody reminded Halie that Chamise Peak was the first hike that they had gone on when they started dating, so no better place to start the next chapter of life.
