Our Engagement Story

November 14, 2021

Hunter & I love to take trips on the Blue Ridge Parkway. On November 14 he asked me if I’d like to go for a ride. Of course I said let’s go! We took our dogs Dibbles & Jay with us and off we went. We stopped at every overlook we passed that day to take pictures. Once we got up to the Pisgah Inn Hunter said, let’s go see the view from their overlook. Pulling up they had chains with signs saying they were closed for the season, I also saw a truck there that I figured was a workers vehicle. I told Hunter we had better not, since they’re closed. He insisted so we parked & walked up to their viewing area. As we are walking down the steps I notice someone taking pictures of the mountains. Hunter asked him if he would take some pictures of us (I later found out it was a friend from work he had meet us there to take the pictures). As we’re posing for pictures Hunter turned towards me and got down on one knee. I sat there very confused for a few seconds, I honestly thought he was tying his shoe (I didn’t realize he was wearing boots, haha). When he said the words “will you marry me” I just kept asking are you serious, really? I was in complete shock. Of course I said yes! He’s my rock, the love of my life & now the father of my child. I cannot wait to spend forever with him! Still to this day I can’t figure out how he kept it all a secret & how I didn’t find out!

Our Love Story

In October of 2014 I talked to Hunter for the first time. My best friend & now maid of honor was talking to a guy, also named Hunter. I was trying to find him on instagram when I stumbled upon my future husband’s account. He was everything I ever dreamed of. So without hesitation I added him and messaged him. We got along so well from the get go, I just knew we were meant to be together. A few weeks later we met in person for the first time. Hunter would ride his bike to the tri-rail station in pompano, take the train to Boynton & ride his bike to the apartment I lived in. One time he got hit by a car, and another he walked 13 miles because he didn’t have his bike, if that’s not true love I don’t know what is. We spent so much time together, went to his prom together & now we have a beautiful daughter, wonderful dogs & a wonderful life.
