Question

How will COVID impact the big day?

Answer

As of right now, there is a mask mandate across NC for indoor events. Our wedding is, technically, not really an indoor event so the venue will NOT be requiring masks. However, we do encourage guests to bring a mask and wear one if they would be more comfortable doing so. And regardless, please be mindful of other guests and know that not everyone's comfort level will match your own.

What is the appropriate wedding attire?

Answer

Attire is cocktail, please no jeans or shorts. Best suggestion for the gents is slacks with a jacket and/or tie. For the ladies, a nice dress or jumpsuit. The weather in early September is usually still pretty warm but it could get chilly as the night goes on.

Is this wedding indoor or outdoor?

Answer

Yes. Both. If the weather is in our favor, the ceremony will take place outside on a lovely grassy knoll. The reception will all take place in an indoor / under cover pavilion combo.

So...what if the weather is not in your favor?

Answer

Then we will get married inside or at least under the pavilion. Basically just be assured that there is a rain backup in place.

Do I have to travel from the ceremony to the reception?

Answer

Nope! Once the ceremony is over, it’s a convenient 20 step walk over to the cocktail and reception area.

Is this venue handicap accessible?

Answer

Yes! There are handicap parking spots available and no stairs. And if you would like additional help navigating from the parking lot to the venue, please let us know! They offer helpers in golf carts to make the trek up the gravel driveway that much easier.

Do you have a suggested place to book accommodations?

Answer

Absolutely! We have booked a hotel block at the Holiday Inn Asheville - Biltmore West, this hotel is closest to the venue. Tell them you are with the Meyer-Diaz party or if you are booking online, the Group Code is MDW. However, if you are more keen on the downtown vibe, there are plenty of options there as well. And if you are traveling with a group, AirBnb and VRBO also provide great options.

What about getting to/from the venue?

Answer

The venue has ample parking for our drivers. They do allow overnight parking, they just request that you retrieve your car by the following morning. Uber and Lyft are options as well, but we strongly suggest you book your ride in advance, it can be difficult to grab a last minute ride on a Friday night. If you have trouble with Uber or Lyft, AVL Taxi is a great alternative. Please just don’t drink and drive.

Is this an actual farm?

Answer

It sure is! There are horses and donkeys on site. The in-house kitchen grows a lot of their own produce and they have a lovely garden that we all will have access to.
