We're getting married!

Rique and I met before he even knew who Bailey Nicole Fabian was. I first noticed him in the hallways of Eastmont Junior High. He was an older boy with skater hair, always surrounded by pretty girls. I was a shy tomboy who definitely did not look like someone he would notice, but I noticed him. A lot. When he left for high school, I accepted my fate and assumed my crush would live forever in the “what could’ve been” category. Then two years later, we were placed in the same high school chemistry class. Yes, chemistry. The universe has jokes. He was still the cool guy. Football player. Same hair. I was still shy, but now on the cheer team, which meant I saw him often. Sitting next to each other in chemistry class, the reactions slowly started. Glances turned into smiles. Smiles turned into “did you do the homework?” Then Snapchats, Instagram likes, and eventually checking in with each other like we were lab partners in life. The love began to grow and has never stopped. Somewhere between homework questions and “how are you doing?” it turned into real chemistry. The kind you cannot fake, cannot ignore, and definitely cannot explain on a periodic table. From junior high hallways to an actual chemistry class, this was clearly a long term experiment. In 2027, we will celebrate 10 years of dating, proof that this reaction only gets stronger with time. Here’s to the next chapter of our love story!
