How we met

Where it all began

As most of our close friends and family know, we were introduced by a mutual friend and we hit it off REALLY quick. We were introduced via text message in early December 2017 and had our first date on December 16th. Josh picked me up and had a dozen roses (I melted all over the floor), this also won him a couple of brownie points with roommate who happens to be one of my closest friends and Maid of Honor. We started the date off with dinner at a local Italian restaurant where the food wasn't all that great, but the conversation was fantastic. After dinner, Josh took me out to do one of my favorite holiday festivities, see Christmas lights at Life College (I'm corny, I know). Too our surprise, everyone else in Cobb county and the surrounding area had planned to see the Lights of Life light display as well, so we sat in traffic for probably two hours, but there was never a quiet or awkward moment in conversation and at one point I was laughing so hard that I thought I was going to actually pee my pants. Our date ended with Josh dropping me off and walking me to my front door, and in pure awkward Kaitlyn fashion, I gave him the most awkward side hug you could ever give someone after what I felt was such a magical first date, leaving Josh just a little confused. Little did he know, that when I went inside I told my roommate that I had just met the man I was going to marry one day.
