change of plans.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, our plans have changed. We will be getting married on Saturday, August 15th in Charleston, South Carolina, surrounded by our families. We truly wish we could celebrate with all of you, but hope you will attend our ceremony virtually and raise a glass to our marriage from afar!

Haley and Drew met in the Spring of 2015 at Rockford University. Haley had just switched to a Graphic Design major, and in her very first class, there was Drew. They spent that semester helping each other through a demanding Art History class, sharing notes and slowly getting to know each other. After a long summer apart, they decided to give things a try over ice cream at Cold Stone (where Haley only ate two bites because she was so nervous!) and then a second date to a drive-in movie where they both knew they'd found something special.

On September 10th, 2019, just a few days short of their four year anniversary, Drew and Haley drove out to their favorite spot in Drew's hometown of Morris, Illinois. Four years earlier, Drew had brought Haley to a friend's barn in the middle of nowhere, so that Haley could take a few photos of the stars and the two of them! It was the first time meeting Drew's family, friends and seeing his hometown, and ever since that night, they've taken a nighttime photo every single year! So of course, heading out to the same spot four years later seemed only right! Haley set up all of the photo equipment, did a few test shots, and then set the timer and ran over to Drew for the photo. But just as she got to him, Drew dropped to one knee and asked her to marry him underneath the stars and with the perfect photo to capture it all!
