Tyler and I met at the Baptist Collegiate Ministries (BCM) at Carson-Newman University in 2018. We were friends for a year before we met again in August 2019. Our BCM leader needed help moving sound equipment for a worship service, and we both showed up to help. Tyler and I ended up chatting about our favorite Sonic Slushie flavors. About one week later, on August 29, we went to Sonic for our first date. After that, we were inseparable. We spent the first month of dating eating at fun restaurants, doing homework together, and sitting in my Eno at the lake. Tyler asked me to be his girlfriend on the top of Mt. Leconte on September 28, 2019. Since then, we have gone on many more hikes, traveled to New York City for New Year’s, went on a mission trip to New Orleans over Spring Break, renovated a room, and survived another year in school! Tyler asked me to marry him on April 10, 2020. We are so excited and blessed to plan a wedding and start our lives together!
