Haley and Sam first met planting trees for a community service project through LaPorte High School in 2010. After a friendship blossomed over many text messages (because no one calls anyone...ever) Sam finally asked Haley on their first date. The date was awkward, but delightful. Haley, the queen of impulse decisions, had gotten a lip piercing just hours before in an attempt to calm her nerves. It did not work, but it broke the tension and made for an evening full of laughter. The two bonded over night fishing dates, Dwayne Johnson movies, the puppy that followed Haley everywhere, country music and an insane amount of tacos. They soon fell in love, and the rest, as they say, is history!
